First the school asks students to stay home 2 days a week, then it's told by the Department to stay open for 5 days, despite not having staff.

We know that NSW Education is just a few months ahead of us.

Is this what we can expect to see in Queensland come Term 2 if this staffing crisis isn't acknowledged or addressed?

What will the staffing crisis be like in Winter? With the sudden return of colds and flus and an inevitable new variant, how will Qld cope with staffing shortages?

We have schools in Queensland already telling families to keep students at home due to a staffing crisis. Not because they can't get relief staff but they can't backfill the staff who have been stood down due to mandates.

Our children deserve better than this.
