Both Russia and Ukraine tortured prisoners of war, UN says - REUTERS

During the nearly nine-month conflict, the U.N. human rights office (OHCHR) stated on Tuesday that both Russia and Ukraine had tortured prisoners of war, citing examples such as the use of electric shocks and forced nudity.

Since April, the U.N. monitoring team based in Ukraine has talked to more than 100 prisoners of war from both sides of the conflict.It stated that because Russia did not grant access to detention facilities, the interviews with Ukrainian prisoners of war were conducted after their release.
