Was really honoured to be in the presence of an awliya who had a huge impact on the life of Hz Khwaja Gharib Nawaz r.a. Although this wasn't a #LostMaqam but I really wanted to cover this area they all call 'Chisht Sharif'
Ep-64 : Shrine of Hz. Yahya (Son of Zaid shaheed r.a) in sar e Pol #LostMaqam
I was least interested in this province as during my initial research there was nothing but as it turned out during my time waiting in kabul ministry of information and culture i found out that there is a 1000 year old site related to Imam Yahya, son of Zaid shaheed, who was martyred here in sar e pol province in northern Afghanistan.
This shrine as it turned out, is one of the most sacred shrine for shia Muslim in all of Afghanistan. The facts and stories that were told to me by the locals are covered in the video and it sure was something that i really would have missed but fortunately i didn't.

Ep 66 : Zadian minaret and finding #LostMaqam burial site of Prophet Saleh a.s and debunking the myth regarding shrine of Hz Abu hurairah r.a in Zadian, a small hamlet in Balkh.
Ep 67 Finding the #LostMaqam of Prophet Sheeth a.s in Balkh
Another prophet in balkh. This time it was prophet Sheeth a.s near the bala hissar (the great fort) of Balkh.
The stories of war and bandits that i heard from a local friend that i made onto my way to the shrine really gave me the chills as this locality was once home to the most cruel and barbaric people that lived in this area and how they used to really murder people for chump change. Thanks to the very tight security of Taliban all of those bad guys are gone now and peace has finally prevailed in the city after long years of war.
This is the shrine that is attributed to prophet sheeth a.s in balkh city.

Ep 68 Finding the #LostMaqam of Prophet Ayyub a.s salam, a sahaba named hz akasha r.a, madrasa of the father of Jalaluddin Rumi r.a and a great Awliya from India, all in Balkh,...again! #LostMaqam
For sure this episode is really something. I explained in the video that how three maqams that i found during my online research were extremely important for me to find. One was ashab e kahf which i found, one is chashma e hayat related to Khidr a.s which i haven't found, and one was chashma e Ayyub a.s that i wanted to find in balkh.
And thanks to my expert, or should i say genius ways of finding things i finally found what i was looking for. But to my surprise it wasn't a chashma (spring) related to porphet Ayyub a.s it was a burial site (lo and behold). It really shocked me to find the burial place of a prophet in a rural town of devoli maidan that you won't even find in google maps.
I mean i know that it is highly unlikely that this is the real burial place but don't you find it fascinating that literally in the middle of nowhere you have a burial place that is attributed to a famous prophet of Islam.
I do. I literally feed on the curiousity that how in the world this place got it's name as the burial place of a prophet.
And for this we need to build a system where we can gather all the data we have regarding all prophets and quranic places so that we can grade sites that are more prominent than others.
Don't you think so?
More coming in the videos.

Ep-70 : Visiting Mazar-e-sharif and Chashma-e-shafa, #LostMaqam
Alhamdulillah i sang the song and i visited Mazar e shareef. The place undoubtedly holds the spiritual connection to Imam Ali a.s but does it really contains the body of Imam Ali a.s as well.
I don't think so. Yes there are some narrations that tells us that his body was brought here secretly but that narration is just too weak. I just couldn't feel the spiritual aura that a burial place should have especially when we are talking about Imam Ali a.s.
Yes undoubtedly it is related to Imam Ali but most probably as a qadamgah and not as a burial place.
Allah knows best.

Ep-71 : Chashma e Hayat or Aab e Hayat (Water of Eternal Life) and another chashma e shafaa (Spring of Healing), and the tomb of another one of masters of Imam Bukhari in Baghlan (Propbably a Tabee or a Taba e tabee) #LostMaqam
Chashma e Hayat : In the videos I have explained that Chashma e Hayat was the third most important maqam that I needed to cover in Afghanistan but as I went to the ministry of Info and Culture to get the permission, they clearly denied me permission to visit any religious shrine in the city.
This is the second time this is happening. Wahhabi cleric forbidding me to go to a shrine that they consider biddat (innovation). First time it happened in Ghazni when they assigned a guide who overlooked your every move. It was really frustrating to sit in one room with a guy who clearly doesn't understand the importance of preserving the history and culture of a province. It's so weird that they gave me permission to visit every historic sites in Samangan but all religious sites were banned.
Alas, I am really sad that I couldn't go there. I have the coordinates of the location of Chashma e hayat but I don't have any pics.
I did however recorded the conversation that i had with that cleric in the ministry and i want to expose this hypocrisy to the world.
Coordinates of the Chashma (not exact but it's somewhere here.)
