Truth is, I've heard over and over that love is not a feeling.

My experience is somewhat different. My love experience consumed me like fire.

In AGBƐWOE-3, I recount instances including Biblical examples that show similar experiences like mine.

Now, I believe real love can and should be felt. 🙂

As I vividly described in AGBƐWOE-3, there were times I felt pain in my heart when I didn't get the opportunity to give to the girl I loved. 🥺

My dreams were filled with what I could do for her, not get from her.

That was a sign of true love and the reason behind this quote.

It could be their time, money, attention, etc.

In AGBƐWOE-3, I recounted a moment when I was willing to sacrifice my last penny for the girl I loved.

I never understood this statement until I fell in love with Ewoe.

The statement:

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man will give his life for his friends," from the Bible.

No, I didn't give my life for her. But something interesting happened one evening that opened my eyes.

I narrated it on page 20 of AGBƐWOE-3.

Now, I agree with the Bible from my personal experience. Hence, this quote.

You must not hold anything back when you're in love with someone.

But many people will take advantage of you if they're not deserving of your love and efforts.

In AGBƐWOE-3, I discussed 2 different stages that must exist in a relationship.

☑️ The first stage is where you make checks to ensure the other person is deserving of your love.

☑️ In stage two, you can then proceed to pour out your love without any limit.

This is because love can be illogical as described in this quote.

I explained these concepts and backed them with bits of my real-life love experience.

Here's today's explanation for the quote from AGBƐWOE-3:

"I married my husband because I wanted my ex-boyfriend to get jealous" - A real Ghanaian once said.

People marry for different reasons. It's, therefore, possible for someone to get married without loving their partner.

Similarly, it's also possible for someone to have genuine love for their partner and they'll still get separated.

Most of us tend to think that once true love is found, it automatically lasts forever.

Well, as I explained in AGBƐWOE-3, my experience has taught me that's not exactly true. Ending up together goes beyond love alone.

We all know that love is kind. Love is patient. Love is not self-seeking or proud, keeps no record of wrong, etc.

But it's only agape that expresses these attributes to their fullest measure.

That's why it's possible for someone to profess love for you but still be unkind to you. It's simply not agape they're referring to.

Why do I think so?

Most people conclude that they made a lot of "stupid" decisions, after they fall out of love.

It's either they made unreasonable sacrifices, believed too many lies, gave too much room for disrespect or whatnots.

The truth is, these actions are not always "stupid". It's just how the human brain reacts when one is in love.

Your mind gets clouded with so much excitement that you tend to go the extra mile for your lover.

For this reason, basing the decision to marry on that excitement alone is quite risky. Sometimes, the thrill fades and you need to find other reasons to hold on.

I believe the easiest way to find out if your love is true is to just measure it against the Biblical standards.

It's a direct litmus test. ☑️
