Do you want to develop a greater heart for missions in your church?

We’ve come up with a few simple next steps you can take to raise the profile missions in your church.

1️⃣ Pray Regularly for Missionaries
Make a point praying for Missionaries on a regular basis. This could be a part your Sunday service, a focus in your weekly prayer meeting, or something you encourage your Small Groups to do.

Praying regularly for Missionaries will naturally lead to your church developing a heart for them and their work.

2️⃣ Pray Regularly for Nations
Most churches will be made up different nationalities and ethnicities. Praying regularly for the nations represented in your church family will raise the profile missions and remind people that nations are in the heart God.

Mark Pugh, General Superintendent of Elim Pentecostal Churches, joins with major UK faith leaders to warn that a right to die could too easily end in vulnerable people feeling they have a duty to die.

Faith leaders have joined together to express serious concerns about the potential impact on vulnerable individuals if Parliament approves assisted suicide. In a letter published before the Second Reading of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, they warn that a ‘right to die’ might lead to vulnerable people feeling obligated to end their lives.

The letter, signed by 29 faith leaders including the Bishop of London, the Roman Catholic Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, and the Chief Rabbi, advocates for investment in palliative care as the truly compassionate approach to end-of-life issues. This letter was featured in The Observer newspaper (Sunday 24 November 2024) and is available on the Elim website. See link in bio.
