Heidi Longworth wasn’t all that interested in mission work and definitely wasn’t planning to move to Romania. However, a challenge from God to put some worship lyrics into practice led to an unexpected calling to the city of Hunedoara.
“Mission had never been a priority for me,” she explains. “I went to Bible college to study worship thinking I was called to work in the UK. I never really thought about anything else until one evening I was sat in my college room.”
The next day was Worldwide Wednesday, which featured many mission-related activities. Feeling guilty about her lack of interest, Heidi prayed about it and felt God challenge her: ‘If I was to send you somewhere, would you go?’ It took her a while to reply, but eventually, she said yes.
In 2004, Heidi was invited to join a team for a week-long kids camp in Romania. Two years later, the couple who organized the camp invited her to work with them in Hunedoara for a year.

After months of waiting for documents to come through and raising support, Jordan and Nitasha have now arrived in Japan as Elim Missionaries!
Thank you for your prayers for Jordan and Nitasha over these last few months. Please continue to pray for them as they begin this new season of life and ministry in Japan. Pray as well for Japan Kingdom Church, their receiving church, and for their future partnership together.
