We asked Pastor Andrew Mautsa, national leader of Elim Zimbabwe, to travel to the Vumba graves and film a short message for us. Instead, he sent us this wonderfully produced film telling the story of the Vumba Massacre and honouring our martyrs.
This video has been made available to Elim churches for use on Missions Sunday this Sunday (22nd June). We're grateful to Pastor Andrew and the team at Elim Zimbabwe for sending us this film.
Missions Sunday is the Sunday closest to the 23rd of June, when we remember the Vumba Massacre and pray for the work of our Missionaries.

Last weekend we marked Missions Sunday - the day we remember the Elim Missionaries murdered in the Vumba Massacre on 23rd June 1978.
In his excellent book The Axe and the Tree, Stephen Griffiths, son of Peter and Brenda Griffiths who were part of the Vumba team but were at home in the UK at the time of the massacre, tells the full story.
Copies are available from the Elim Missions office.

The Missions Academy is back! 🙌
If you're feeling God calling you to international missions, join the Missions Academy and we'll help you explore that call. The Academy will equip you for your next steps towards international missions wherever God leads you.
Teaching will happen through monthly Zoom calls and a four-day residential at the Elim International Centre in Malvern (as well as an Orientation Day and a one-day visit to the Elim Missions office to meet the team).
The Missions Academy will be delivered by experienced practitioners who will share their wisdom and knowledge.
