Why should your church support an Elim Missionary? 🕊

💬"I would ask any church leader when it comes to making a difference to our international missionaries, “If not YOU then WHO? If not NOW then WHEN?”" - Pastor Harry Goodwin, The Well Church Wakefield

If your church isn't currently supporting an Elim Missionary, here are four reasons to consider starting:

1️⃣ It allows your church to do their bit in fulfilling the Great Commission beyond your locality.

2️⃣ Reaching Nations is one of Elim's four priorities. International missions has been in Elim's DNA since the very beginning. Supporting a missionary is a simple sustainable way your church can help Elim to reach the nations.

3️⃣ Elim Missionaries need Elim support. Some of our missionaries receive support through other organisations as well, but for most of them the primary source of support is from Elim churches.

Pawel & Monika's Story 💬

Monika and I both felt the call to missions as individuals before we got married. From a young age, Monika had always wanted to go the nations and she trained as a nurse in order to work towards that goal. I always had a father’s heart for the broken-hearted.

Monika ministers through prophetic dancing and intercession and I have seen the Lord minister healing, deliverance and restoration to individuals, families and churches through my ministry.

In 2005, Monika began to sense that God wanted us to leave Poland just as Abraham left his homeland to a place that God would show him. At the same time, I felt the Lord say that I would be involved in Ellel Ministries, which was a confirmation for us that we should come to the UK.

Monika and I were born in the 60’s, during the rule of Communism in Poland. Our childhood was spent within the terror of the Communist dictatorship during which we experienced oppression, intimidation and...

General Superintendent of Elim Pentecostal Churches, @MarkPugh, joins with major UK faith leaders to warn that a right to die could too easily end in vulnerable people feeling they have a duty to die.

Faith leaders have joined together to express serious concerns about the potential impact on vulnerable individuals if Parliament approves assisted suicide. In a letter published before the Second Reading of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, they warn that a ‘right to die’ might lead to vulnerable people feeling obligated to end their lives.

The letter, signed by 29 faith leaders including the Bishop of London, the Roman Catholic Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, and the Chief Rabbi, advocates for investment in palliative care as the truly compassionate approach to end-of-life issues. This letter was featured in The Observer newspaper (Sunday 24 November 2024) and is available on the Elim website. See link in bio.
