Gordon & Sybil's Story 💬

Gordon is married to Sybil and they have three children and seven grandchildren. Gordon and Sybil come from Motherwell and served with Elim International Missions in the Democratic Republic of Congo for 17 years before moving in 1999 to Nyangombe in the North Western Province of Zambia on the border with Angola and DRC.

Nyangombe Christian Training Centre in Mwinilunga District of Zambia is the only Bible Teaching and Christian Youth Training Institute in over 100,000 square kilometres. Our vision is to present Christ to the Lunda people of this area so that they can come to an understanding of the abundant, fear free life made available in Christ Jesus and live as strong Christians within their own culture.

Over the years various arms of ministry have been birthed through which an effective proclamation of the Gospel is made. Children’s Camps, Youth Camps, Bible Schools for Pastors and leaders, Skills Training in Carpentry, Bui...

Elim’s National Leadership Team is pleased to announce that Martin Davison has been appointed as International Missions Director.

Martin (known as Marty) and his wife Rebeca were Elim Missionaries in Maues, Brazil, for 14 years before returning to the UK to pastor Gateway Elim Church in Yate for the last 8 years. Bringing his expertise as a dentist to the Amazon, Marty served the local communities in Maues while also assisting Pastor Tinho (Rebeca’s brother-in-law) in the leadership of the local church. Marty will be taking up his new role as International Missions Director at the beginning of September 2024.

Marty said, “God has put a burning passion within me for Missions. I love seeing lives transformed as they are impacted by the gospel message outlived in the power of the Holy Spirit. "Each of us experienced something new..."

A team from Leigh-on-Sea Elim went to Estonia recently to visit Elim Missionaries Alan & Alice Osborn. Pastor John Young shared his thoughts on the impact of the trip on the team.

“We witnessed the Holy Spirit move in power, not just amongst the Estonian people but also in our group. Each of us experienced something new and we grew in our relationship with God and each other. This exciting journey has given our church a focus on how everyone can play a part in the Great Commission, whether they are going on it, helping raise funds or in prayer support.”

Howard & Sue's Story 💬

We came to Spain in 1990 with our 3 children and the Lord called us as a family to serve Him. They all continue to serve as He has called them to. Two are serving with us in Benalmadena and our eldest is serving with her husband pastoring here in the south.

Whilst we were co-workers in a Spanish church here in Spain, the Lord called us to reach a people group, the English speaking people here, not excluding the Spanish. Over some years this led us with Jesus to establish and pastor an Elim Church in the town of Benalmadena on the southern coast of Spain, working in both English & Spanish. We also have the privilege of serving as the President and Secretary of the Elim movement here in Spain where we have churches in the north and south.

We are both Elim UK ordained ministers serving our Lord Jesus Christ bringing the truth of the gospel to as many people as we can using every means available to us in the 21st century. Therefor...

Is your church supporting an Elim Missionary?

Harry Goodwin leads The Well Church in Wakefield, who last year began to support Elim Missionary Lynette Orange. He had this to say about the impact this decision has made on the church:

💬Supporting an existing missionary allows us to do our part to fulfil the great commission beyond our locality, and it allows us to locally fulfil our obligation to help achieve Elim’s four national priorities.

I would ask any church leader when it comes to making a difference to our international missionaries, “If not YOU then WHO? If not NOW then WHEN?” 💬

If you would like to speak to us about supporting a Missionary, comment below or send us a DM.
