When I first launched Project NLC, it was mainly an experiment to track and showcase the effectiveness of this strategy. But it turned out to be an eye-opener, not just about the strategy itself but also about how crucial discipline and consistency are to our trading results.

These past 2 months have been the standout months of the year. Why, you ask? Because I’ve been at my most disciplined: staying physically active, avoiding alcohol, skipping hangouts and parties, and just absolutely locking in and grinding.

So, I want to make it clear—success in trading isn’t just about having a solid strategy. It’s also hugely about your lifestyle choices and mindset. Stay disciplined, stay consistent, and you’ll see how significantly it can impact your performance.

Use the weekend as your “reset button.” It doesn’t matter whether you ended the week in profit or loss—what matters is that you don’t carry those emotions into the next week. Trading is a mental game, and every week is a fresh start.

Personally, I use weekends to step away from the charts completely. I leave my home, get in some workouts, catch up with friends, and reset my mindset. It’s important to recharge and take your mind somewhere else so you come back focused and clear-headed for the new week ahead.

Remember, successful traders aren’t just good at reading charts—they’re good at managing their mindset too. If you’re constantly stressed or overthinking, that will show up in your trading. So take the weekend to refocus, reset, and come back stronger next week!
