One thing I keep noticing about my self is that I keep learning alot away from people and it never feels enough but its only when I engage in conversations or debates that I understand how much I have learnt about a specific subject.

I highly recommend you to engage in conversations, public speaking and debates with nice friends. It really does change the way you understand and organize your knowledge,

Sam talks about democratizing access to intelligence to all people in the world. For some reason I don't believe that will happen.

One, you can see that the US doesn't send out Nvidia GPUs to China and China collects data from anyone using their models. So you can imagine how even if these companies want to give access to everyone their governments won't let them. Not only that but event he companies them selves won't like to give access to everyone (take Anthropic for instance)

Two, it's almost like the light bulb story. In short today we can have light bulbs that don't burn off and last for decades more. But light bulb companies got together and decided to not provide us with that. Just like that there's no reason that the rich won't get more access to these powerful models than casual individuals.

For those reasons I think Sam Altman is kind of super optimistic about this.

Last night, for the first time, I saw a classic movie. It was a movie made in 1963 called 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The plot centers around mysterious black monoliths that appear at critical points in human history, influencing the development and evolution of humanity. The iconic part is about a spaceship that hosts a super intelligent computer called HAL-9000 which later tries to kill everyone on board to eliminate human error.

I have mixed feelings about the movie. For instance the fact that they made a movie this visually beautiful without video editing or CGI is mind blowing and it's also cause of this that it's considered a classic. Another thing is that it's more of a silent movie cause the dialogue scenes are a few and not that deep, so most things are told just visually.

The story is meh to me. Specially the ending was horrible. But for a movie that was based on a short story they did wonderful. Overall it's a great movie to get started with classics. Another thing I didn't like was the inaccurate science but I can't blame them cause no one has gone to space when this movie was made.

Also the fact that there's no nudity or anything related to sex or lust is so amazing tbh.
