⚡️ Solana back online following latest network outage
Solana is back online following an outage on Friday night. A misconfigured node stopped the blockchain from processing transactions. Despite promoting itself as a high-performance blockchain, Solana has suffered a series of outages over the last year. In September 2021, it went offline for almost 18 hours. It also froze for about seven hours in early May until validators restarted, and was knocked offline for about four hours in June. 💻 Coinbase Says Funds Are Safe After 6-hour Bank Outage
Coinbase has reassured users that all funds are safe after the exchange was unable to process US bank transactions for nearly six hours over the weekend. Account holders with US bank accounts found they couldn’t make withdrawals or payments on Coinbase from 6:57 am ET to 12:41 pm ET on Sunday. The company identified the issue as a snag with the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system, the electronic network that facilitates online transfers between US banks. 🔗 Read more

🔍 Bitcoin supply on exchanges hits a 4-year low
The quantity of Bitcoin is gradually being removed from crypto exchanges as investors show signs of being content with their existing holdings, according to data from behavioral analysis platform Santiment on October 4. ✍️ EU agrees on text of the first-ever regulatory Bitcoin framework
The European Union has reached an agreement on the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA) framework that spells out how the region should approach the crypto sector. Officials from countries in the bloc signed the framework text into law without any further deliberation, the Council of European Union said in a statement released on October 5. MiCA is a culmination of political outlines set out in June seeking to have a comprehensive crypto legislative text covering the region. ☠️ BNB Chain’s $566M Hack: Binance Network’s Major Bridge Attack Unpacked
BNB Chain suffered a $566 million exploit Thursday after a hacker tricked the BSC Token Hub bridge into sending them two million BNB. The attacker has since bridged some of those assets to multiple other chains — there are $53M in assets on Ethereum and almost $49M on Fantom as of 8pm ET, according to DeBank.The BNB Chain halted the network and is weighing an asset freeze, highlighting major centralization issues. 🔗 Read more

BNB Smart Chain has finished a hard fork upgrade called Moran in an attempt to recover and secure infrastructure following a large hack last week.
