کلمه وارانتی درمعنای کلی یک نوع اطمینان بخشی از:
الف- سالم بودن کالا یا صحیح بودن ارائه خدمت انجام شده از هرگونه عیب و نقص.
ب- مطابقت مشخصات کالا یا خدمت انجام شده با آن چیزی است که مشتری خواسته است.
ج-این کالا و خدمت انجام شده همان چیزی است که قبلا از سوی ارائه دهنده اعلام شده بود.
