Phnom Penh, 28th October 2024- Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) in cooperation with OREX SAI, INC with the support of Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan (MIC) and the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Cambodia has successfully hosted the Workshop on “Emerging Digital Technology powered by JAPAN—Current State of Open RAN and Cybersecurity” presided over by H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications and joined by 250 participants from academic, public and private sectors.
The Workshop is aimed at enhancing Cambodian digital human resource through introducing emerging digital technology by Japanese digital experts.
Key topics were conducted by experts from both ministries and representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The workshop focused on exploring cyber threats and cyber defender, and the potential of OpenRAN technology in the development of the telecommunications sector in Cambodia.
