Phnom Penh, August 26th, 2024 - the Institute of Digital Research and Innovation of CADT held a workshop on "Data Driven Technologies and Its Applications" attended by over 160 participants from diverse sectors, including students, researchers, and industry professionals.
The workshop showcases applications and technologies used in the banking and research sector. The speakers also showed various tools and architecture being applied and carried out in real work place along with use cases.
Disseminating these data science technologies provided a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in practical use across various industries. Participants also gained valuable insights into the power of data-driven decision-making and explored real-world applications.

Dr. Chamnongthai Kosin is an adjunct Professor at Cambodia Academy of Digital Technlogy (CADT) and a Professor at King Mongkutโs University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bangkok, Thailand. He received a B.Eng in Applied Electronics from the University of Electro-Communications in 1985, an M.Eng in Electrical Engineering from Nippon Institute of Technology in 1987, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Keio University in 1991.

We will explore how Large Language Models can be utilized to overcome this hurdle and drive advancements in Khmer NLP research.
The event features presentations by experts on various topics, including data collection, spelling correction, and text processing techniques, all focused on fostering innovation and progress in Khmer NLP despite the scarcity of language resources. The workshop highlights the importance of developing robust Khmer NLP capabilities and will provide valuable insights and strategies for researchers and practitioners in this field.
