Tonight was the big night when I got to meet one of my heroes, Manchรกn Magan. I finally got ALL OF MY BOOKS signed by him and had a good chat. He knows about the Brehon Academy (of course he would).

I have a spare signed copy of Listen to the Land Speak by Manchรกn and I'll be announcing a competition for members in the coming days/weeks.

I'm already about 50% through this gorgeously illustrated page turner. So far I've learned that the Irish had a bigger influence on founding Iceland than I previously imagined.

Up to 60% of the original stock was of Irish origin. I'm currently reading about our "daoine sรญ" (fairy folk) and their "landdรญsir" (Land spirits), which included dwarves and, of course, elves.

They even have a female entity comparable to our Beansรญ (Banshee, a word for a female fairy who was an omen of death for certain families).

I'm also learning about their pagan beliefs and how a wizard transformed himself into a wale to survey they island and spied several fantastic and gigantic beasts.

Or why the Vikings carved ferocious looking heads with gnarly teeth onto the front of their ships, but had to remove them once they hit land so not to anger the land spirits.

Ireland and Iceland are the only two European countries that diverted roads so as not to disturb "sacred sites".

LIVE IN 5 MINS!

Join us for an exclusive interview with Ciarรกn McMahon, the passionate creator behind WelcomeToTheAbyss369, as he takes us on a journey through history, mythology, and cutting-edge science.

With both McMahon and O'Neill blood coursing through his veins, Ciarรกn brings a deeply personal perspective to his investigations into the ancient royal bloodlines of Ireland.

In this episode, Ciarรกn dives into the storied legacies of the O'Neills and McMahons, two of Irelandโ€™s most legendary dynasties.

Combining meticulous research with on-the-ground explorations, Ciarรกn has travelled to far-flung lands like Egypt and Cambodia to uncover connections between ancient cultures and the myths that shape our understanding of history.

Using groundbreaking DNA genetic evidence, he sheds new light on tales once dismissed as mere mythology, revealing truths that bridge the gap between legend and reality.
