State of Play, held as part of the City of Good Summit, was a blast! 💥
BAGUS Together helped to identify some groundups to be featured at Company of Good’s State of Play on 22 February – it was an opportunity for companies to know new and different community partners, serving a variety of needs and providing an opportunity for corporates to express their interest to volunteer with these groundups. We’re proud of Outdoor Sport Kakis, Her Rise Above and Soundball SG who set up booths to display their upcoming volunteering opportunities to reach out to corporate volunteers, and look forward to more of such platforms ahead!

Sometimes, the value lies not in creating new ways to help but how fast help can be made available. Groundups have an advantage as they are often less restricted by administrative requirements and can have a higher risk appetite. Among the groundup service users surveyed, 88% agreed that the amount of time taken for support to be provided is acceptable, higher than that of other service providers (ranging from 67-69%).

In partnership with National Council of Social Service (NCSS), BAGUS Together held the Social Innovation Series: Contributing to Social Good on 13 March. It was a privilege having social workers Peiyi and Xinyao who are experienced in community work practice to share their wisdom on how to do good on a community level 🧠.
