We will never forget the beloved people we lost in the crash of the "Embraer-190" aircraft. This loss left a deep wound in the heart of an entire community. It reminds us to be more compassionate and connected to one another.
This is why the memorial stand installed at the southern entrance of Terminal 2 at Baku Airport carries such profound meaning. The stand is open to everyone, inviting visitors to share their prayers, memories, and respects from their hearts.
May the souls of those who tragically lost their lives rest in peace, and may their memory live on forever.

“Azərbaycan Hava Yolları” QSC-nin Müşahidə Şurasının qərarı ilə 25.12.2024-cü il tarixində Qazaxıstan Respublikası ərazisində qəzaya uğramış “Azərbaycan Hava Yolları” Sərnişin Aviaşirkətinin J2-8243 nömrəli Bakı-Qroznı reysini yerinə yetirən “Embraer 190” təyyarəsində olan və xəsarət alanların hər birinə 20.000 manat, vəfat edənlərin hər birinin ailəsinə isə 40.000 manat kompensasiya ödənilməsi müəyyən edilmişdir.
Bununla yanaşı, bütün sərnişinlər Azərbaycan Respublikası qanunvericiliyinə və qabaqcıl beynəlxalq təcrübəyə uyğun olaraq tətbiq edilən müvafiq sığorta ödənişi alacaqlar.

Flights from Baku to the following airports in Russia has been suspended, starting December 28, 2024:
• Mineralnye Vody
• Sochi
• Volgograd
• Ufa
• Samara
• Saratov
• Nizhny Novgorod
• Vladikavkaz
This decision, made in accordance with the Azerbaijan State Civil Aviation Authority, is based on the preliminary results of the investigation into the crash of the Embraer 190 aircraft operating the Baku-Grozny flight J2-8243 of Azerbaijan Airlines due to physical and technical external interference and considers potential risks to flight safety. The suspension will remain in effect until the completion of the final investigation.
It should be noted that on December 25, AZAL decided to suspend flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala.
For safety reasons, a decision has been made to suspend flights of other airlines to the mentioned destinations, including Grozny and Makhachkala.
Passengers of AZAL flights to and from the specified cities in Russia, who are unable to use the airline’s services due to the current situation, have the opportunity to receive a full refund without penalties or rebook their tickets.
