Basingstoke sitp is still standing, and yesterday we celebrated our 4 year standiversary!
It's been a rollercoaster of a ride, from frequent police visits back in the beginning, to multiple outreach iniatives, parties, protests, veg swapping, and all kinds of other things, but above all, the building of a beautiful community, and some truly amazing friendships.
Compared to our 70+ weekly standers back in the first year or two, our turn out of 13 may seem small, but it's actually the best we've had in a fair old while, so I was really pleased! The flag made a come back, as did the tea, coffee and cakes! And the weather was on our side too! An absolutely beautiful morning, with truly beautiful people.

Truth Be Told: A Stand Against the Government’s COVID Day of Reflection This Sunday
This Sunday March 9th at 1PM, people from across the UK will gather at Richmond Terrace, Whitehall, directly opposite Downing Street, for the Truth Be Told demonstration—as a counter to the UK government’s so-called 'COVID Day of Reflection' taking place the same day.
The government claims this day is about remembering those we lost and the sacrifices made during the pandemic. But real reflection demands truth.
We cannot allow history to be rewritten.
We gather not just to remember the lives lost, but also to acknowledge the suffering inflicted by government-imposed emergency measures:
- Lockdowns that crushed livelihoods and isolated families.
- Medical coercion that forced people into decisions against their will.
- Censorship that silenced experts, whistleblowers, and dissenting voices.
- Vaccine injuries and bereavements that have been ignored, dismissed, or covered up.
- Lost days of education, missed celebrations, empty funerals, business closures and more
This demonstration is a tribute to those who suffered under the dystopian policies of the pandemic—and a demand for truth, accountability, and justice.

Last December, journalist Ray Sanders uncovered through FOI requests that 103 of the 302 climate stations recording UK temperatures don’t actually exist.
By examining historical logs, he found that the ‘Braemar No. 2’ station in Aberdeenshire had supposedly been collecting data since 1959—despite only being installed in 2005.
