It’s not so much that the products have disappeared, but the word ‘detox’ has been wiped from the labels. "Over the last 2 days the Assisted Suicide Bill Committee has REFUSED amendments to exclude people with impaired judgement, the depressed and suicidal, prisoners and homeless people, those 'unduly influenced' by others, or those who are doing it because they feel a burden.
The committee also refused an amendment that would restrict Assisted Death only to people who dying in pain - the exact group the campaign for this law has been all about
At the end Rebecca Paul and I managed to get Kim Leadbeater to admit that under her Bill a person would be able to get an Assisted Death for the sole reason of saving their relatives money"
