🇧🇷 Dodona, antigo santuário de Zeus em Épiro, na Grécia. Primeira menção a ele, na Ilíada (xvi, 234), e ao oráculo em Dodona, na Odisséia (xiv, 327; xix, 296). Odisseu é enganado e enviado para lá, onde ele poderia ouvir o desejo de Zeus, a partir do carvalho de folhas leves do deus. A árvore dava o oráculo, presumivelmente pela interpretação dos movimentos de suas folhas e outros sons. Os poderes do carvalho surgiram quando uma pomba preta, em seu caminho de Tebas ao Egito, pousou nele e ordenou com uma voz humana que um santuário fosse fundado naquele lugar.

🇺🇸 Dodona, the ancient sanctuary of Zeus in Epirus, Greece. It is first mentioned in the Iliad (xvi, 234) and the oracle at Dodona in the Odyssey (xiv, 327; xix, 296). Odysseus was tricked and sent there, where he could hear Zeus' wish from the god's light-leaved oak tree. The tree gave the oracle, presumably by interpreting the movements of its leaves and other sounds. The oak's powers came about when a black dove, on its way from Thebes to Egypt.
