Spiritual by passing is the practice of denying and suppressing the darkness negative* darkness meaning traumas unwanted patterns, addictions, unresolved anger, blockages and spiritual ego narcissism etc withing yourself in the name of being "positive" "high vibe". This way of thinking is not only realistic, but it can also be very damaging. Having the expectations that you should feel good ALL THE TIME will make you feel like your are failing every time you don't. This is a covert form of emotional avoidance.
