Akufada Micro Finance Institution S.C is a share company registered by the National Bank of Ethiopia according to Micro-Financing Business Proclamation No. 626/2009 and (amendment) proclamation No. 1164/2019. Its business license was issued on 01/08/2022 with license number MFI/055/2022.
Akufada MFI wants to hire qualified employees for the following vacant posts
Position: casher
Job summery
To ensure the safe keeping and smooth flow of cash within the Akufada by supplying and collecting cash to/from branches and vault, and by sorting, verifying and counting cash, and controlling the movement of cash in transit.
Duties and responsibilities:
👉🏾 Overviews and checks all cash processes are properly executed
👉🏾 Arranges cash shipment to and from issue account unit
👉🏾 Prepares and signs the daily cash book
👉🏾 Takes run-up of blotters and balance same against cash on hand and journal balance
👉🏾 Ensures that cash counted and sorted on the cash table is properly verified and arranged in bundles and bricks
👉🏾 Ensures that cash holding limit of the branch is not violated
👉🏾 Sort and verify good and deteriorated notes, count, bound, and sign on cash notes collected from branches and deliver cash to the main vault along with claim tickets. Keep dual control of vault key.
👉🏾 Overviews and checks all cash processes are properly executed and ensures compliance with all internal controls, standards and limits
👉🏾 Verifies that the cash in Customer service Officer’s boxes are as per computer reading and/or their blotters after cash hour.
👉🏾 Collects and/or replenishes cash from and to customer service Officers respectively
👉🏾 Checks and receives cash on hand from customer service Officers and lodges same
👉🏾 Keeps custody of cash indemnity savings booklets of customer service Officers
👉🏾Performs other duties as ordered by immediate supervisors.
Qualification:
👉🏾 BA degree in accounting, accounting and finance, Business management and related fields
Work experience
👉🏾 1 years and above experience in micro finance institution on the position of accountant, casher or equivalent position
👉🏾 Or 3 years and above experience in other organization on the position of accountant, casher and auditor ( such as manufacturing, government finance, Cooperative and other
Age: below 35
Place of work: Desse
Salary: 18,293.00(Eighteen thousand two hundred ninety three birr) and other attractive allowance as per the institution’s scale
