On July 10, at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, a presentation of the book "Tashkent Modernism XX/XXI" took place as part of a panel discussion dedicated to 20th-century architecture.
The book was created within the framework of the "Tashkent Modernism XX/XXI" project, launched in 2017 to study and preserve Uzbekistan’s architectural modernism. Published in collaboration with Lars Müller, the edition features 24 architectural sites, analytical articles, and photographs by Armin Linke. As part of the project, Uzbekistan has also submitted a nomination for “Tashkent Modernism” to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The discussion was attended by representatives of Politecnico di Milano, GRACE Studio, and former Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre Francesco Bandarin.
