UGRAD selects the candidates depending on their application only at first! And its biggest part is your Essays.

You must make sure that your essays stand out from 500-700 hundred others. What I think helps is... be yourself and be simple. Keep in mind it is not IELTS, you don't need to show your vocabulary or grammar. You just need to communicate with the reader, and being simple and easy to understand must be the key. At least, that is what seemed to work with me.

Do not ramble! You only have 600 words and use it wisely. Believe me, when you want to convince somebody that you are deserving candidate, 600 words may not even be enough. Give only exact and logical ideas that can grab the attention.
You should write about you and your opinion. You can make it personal, tell them a short story from your life that shows why you are who you are. It can surely help as readers are looking for an essay that shows them the personality of the candidate.

Proof read it for grammar mistakes. You are given a lot of time to write, if you submit it with many mistakes, it doesn't leave a very good impression, does it? Ask somebody to help if you have to.

Last but not least, get help. Watch videos, or read the essays of previous winners on Grantlar Uz.

UGRAD dasturi haqida eng ko'p beriladigan savollarga javoblar

1. UGRAD o'zi nima?
UGRAD - bu bakalavr talabalari uchun AQShda bir semestr to'la moliyalashtirilgan holda o'qish imkonini beruvchi, AQSh hukumati tomonidan moliyalashtiriluvchi grant dasturi. O'zbekistonda bu dastur uchun Amerika Elchixonasi javobgar

2. Qaysi yo'nalishlarda o'qish mumkin?
Amerikada o'qitiladigan barcha yo'nalishlarda. Faqatgina tibbiyot yo'nalishiga qiziquvchilar to'g'ridan to'g'ri bemorlar bilan ishlovchi yo'nalishlarda o'qiy olmaydi. Ular o'z yo'nalishiga yaqin boshqa yo'nalish tanlashi kerak.

3. Universitetni o'zimiz tanlaymizmi?
Yo'q. Dasturga hujjat topshirish jarayonida faqat qaysi yo'nalishda o'qimoqchi ekaningizni yozasiz. G'oliblarni mas'ul shaxslar o'zlari mos universitetlarga joylashtiradi. Bunda, asosan, davlat (public) universitetlar tanlanadi (Garvard, Stenford, MIT, Yale - private universitetlar)

4. O'zimiz o'qiyotgan yo'nalishni o'qishimiz kerakmi?
Aynan o'zingiz o'qiyotgan yo'nalishni o'qish shart emas. Shunga yaqin yoki o'z tajriba va rejalaringizga mos yo'nalish tanlashingiz ham mumkin. Lekin har qanday holatda ham motivatsion xatlarda qaroringizni izohlab bera olishingiz kerak

5. Qaytib kelgandan keyin o'qishimni davom ettira olamanmi?
Agar o'z yo'nalishingizga yaqin yo'nalishda o'qisangiz va universitet rahbariyati bilan kelisha olsangiz, qaytib kelgandan keyin fanlar farqini yopib o'qishni davom ettirib ketaverasiz. Iloji bo'lmagan taqdirda akademik ta'til olishga arziydi. Lekin bu haqida g'olib bo'lgandan keyin o'ylash kerak.

1. Topshirish uchun IELTS kerakmi?
Yo'q. Yo'q. Yo'q. Agar dasturda g'olib bo'lsangiz TOEFL imtihoni topshirasiz va xarajatlari elchixona tomonidan qoplanadi. Ertaroq topshirib yurmang!

2. Yosh chegarasi qanday?
O'qish boshlanish payti nomzod 18 ga kirgan bo'lishi kerak. Ya'ni 2022-yil Sentabr oylarigacha

3. Qaysi kurslar topshira oladi?
Bitiruvchi kurs bo'lmasligingiz kerak. Chunki qaytib kelgandan keyin kamida bir semestr o'qishingizda o'qishingiz shart. Dastur esa 2022-yil sentabrda boshlanadi.

4. Birinchi kurslar ham topshirsa bo'ladimi?
Ha

5. Sirtqi bo'limda o'qiyman. Topshira olamanmi?
Yo'q. Talablarga ko'ra nomzod O'zbekistonda tan olingan universitetlarning birida to'liq stavka (full-time) o'qiyotgan bo'lishi kerak. Elchixona elektron pochtasiga xabar yuborish orqali aniqlashtirishingiz mumkin: Tashkent-Program@state.gov

Hujjat topshirish va g'oliblik talablari

1. Ro'yxatdan o'tdim. Endi qachon olib ketishadi?
Agar faqat ro'yxatdan o'tgan bo'lsangiz hech qachon. Chunki ro'yxatdan o'tish va hujjat topshirish alohida alohida jarayon. Hujjat topshirsangiz ham juda kuchli tanlov bo'ladi.

2. O'zbekistondan nechta odam tanlab olinadi va nechta odam topshiradi?

Eng birinchi navbatda ijtimoiy faol va yetakchilik qobiliyatlaringiz bo'lishi, jamiyatdagi muammolarga befarq bo'lmagan hamda kelajak uchun aniq va katta rejalaringiz bo'lishi kerak. Eng muhimi ularga erishish yo'lida allaqachon harakat qilayotganingizni ko'rsatib bera olishingiz kerak (motivatsion xatlarda). Bundan tashqari universitetdagi baholaringiz yaxshi bo'lishi kerak (a'lo shart emas). Va albatta ingliz tilini yaxshi bilishingiz kerak. Qisqa aytganda o'z tengdoshlaringizdan ajralib turishingiz kerak

5. Qanday hujjatlar talab qilinadi?

Yuqorida aytganimdek bu yil asosiy ishlarim tufayli UGRAD dasturi bo'yicha o'tgan yilgidek ishlay olmayotganim sababli hujjat topshirishdagi eng muhim jarayon — motivatsion xatlarni yozish bo'yicha 1 haftalik mini kurs e'lon qilmoqchiman.

Easy. Add your grades you had till now and divide them to the total number of subjects you had.
