FBMKLCI Week Ahead (4-8 November 2024)

πŸ”ΉBursa Malaysia is anticipated to trade within a narrow range of 1,625 to 1,630 next week as global markets brace for two major events: the U.S. presidential election on November 5 and the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting on November 6–7.

πŸ”ΉWhile the election outcome will likely shape U.S. market sentiment, we expect minimal direct impact on Malaysian markets, as local investors have largely taken a cautious stance.

πŸ”ΉConsequently, a wait-and-see approach may dominate trading, with investors in Malaysia watching Wall Street’s reaction closely and considering the implications for U.S. economic policy.
