COURTESY REMINDER

Notice - US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Shortening Trade Settlement Cycle from T+2 to T+1 Effective 28 May 2024

Please be informed that US SEC adopted a rule amendment to shorten the standard settlement cycle for securities trades from two business days after the trade date to one business day after the trade date (from T+2 to T+1) effective 28 May 2024.

The intention of shortening the settlement cycle for US trades is mainly to reduce credit, market and liquidity risks arising from unsettled securities trades. Besides, it will also enable investors to access the proceeds from the securities transactions sooner than they are able in the current T+2 environment.

Kindly be guided accordingly. Thank you.
