We are pleased to announce our upcoming lecture - 'ADVICE FROM THE SALAF TO THE YOUTH'.
The word salaf or 'al-salaf al-ṣāliḥ' - 'السلف الصالح' means 'the pious predecessors' and refers to the first three generations of Muslims; the generation of the Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and his companions (the Sahabah), their successors (the Tabi‘un), and the generation that came after them.
The Messenger of Allah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) testified to their superiority when he said:
"The best of generations is my generation and then the generation which follows them and then the generation that follows them."
[Sahih al-Bukhari]
Our speaker Ustadh Abu Rayaan Adnaan will take us through some advices that the Salaf gave to the youth in order to be successful, upright Muslims. This talk is not only for the youth but also for their caregivers.
This is a free event; all are welcome and food will be provided. We look forward to seeing you in'sha'allah.

The Prophet salalaahu alayhi wasalam said:
“A group of my ummah will continue to prevail, following the truth. They will not be harmed by those who humiliate them until the decree of Allaah comes to pass when they are like that.” (Narrated by Muslim, 1920)
Al-Haakim said:
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal did well when he commented on this report by saying that the victorious group who will prevail until the Hour begins is “ashaab al-hadeeth” (the people of hadeeth). Who is more deserving of this description than people who follow the way of the righteous and follow in the footsteps of the salaf who came before us, and exposed the falsehood of the people of bid’ah (innovation) by basing their arguments on the Sunnahs of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)?
[Ma’rifat ‘Uloom al-Hadeeth, by al-Haakim al-Nisaboori, p. 2, 3]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم encouraged us to take advantage of our youth before we become old.
How do we benefit from our youth? How can we become practicing Muslims who pray 5 times a day every day whilst not giving into the temptations that surround us?
Let's start by going back 1400 years and looking at the advice that the best people who walked this planet gave us. They are the ones whom Allah testified are in Paradise, so let's look to them for guidance and advice.

》PRECEDING THE IMAAM WITH SAYING AMEEN
• SHEIKH AL-ALBANI • رحمه الله
You will remember this speech of mine; when you go to any Masjid in which an audible prayer is prayed all of the people precede the Imaam in saying Ameen. The Imaam is nearly not able to finish saying
"(waladhaalleen) Nor of those who went astray" (Al-Fatihah 1:7)
And the Masjid is shaking with: Ameen!
Hence, it is upon the followers to wait until they hear the Imaam begin
(his statement): "Ameen" , and then they say Ameen; acting in accordance with his (صلى الله عليه و سلم), statement:
"When the Imaam says Ameen then you say Ameen. For he who’s Ameen coincides with that of the angels then that which has preceded from his sins will be forgiven."
