It's been decades since we've had the Presanctified Liturgy regularly celebrated in Lent at our parish. I've had a question come up, 🙋🙋♂️🙋♀️ and I thought it best to answer here 🗣️
Q: How do we prepare for Communion at the Presanctified Liturgy?
A: Through prayer, fasting, and recent Confession.
-
-
-
NB: Confession won't be available during the Presanctified Liturgy. (It is available after Lenten Matins, which is at 6:30am on days prior to the Presanctified Liturgy, or on the weekend prior, or by appointment).
Thank you all! If you have any further questions, please ask Fr Andrew directly.

Prayer
: as normal. The prayers can be read on the day (ie on Wednesday), or could be read the day before (ie Tuesday).-
Fasting
: Communing in the evening typically means fasting from midday until Communion. (If you require a dispensation for health reasons, please speak to your priest [and if that's Fr Andrew, message him directly]). -
