Resumption of swimming and sea activities at Changi Beach
An advisory against swimming and primary water activities at Changi beach was issued on 17 June as a precautionary measure in response to the oil spill incident.
Changi beach has not been directly impacted by the oil spill. Water quality has remained normal and stable in the past week, and the bulk of oil in the sea has been removed. As such, NEA will be withdrawing this advisory.
Beachgoers can now resume swimming and other water activities at Changi beach.

[Update] East Coast Park beachfront at Areas B & E will be re-opened from today. While it is safe to use the beach, you’re advised not to swim or undertake primary contact sports such as wakeboarding and stand-up paddling in the beach waters.
