Recycling plastic can be confusing with the many plastic identification numbers. To keep things simple, just recognise and remember that these 3 groups that are ok to be put into Bloobin!

Smokers can no longer light up at these additional areas from 1 Jul 2022:
- all remaining public parks and gardens
- Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) sites
- 10 recreational beaches
 
To provide members of the public with sufficient time to adjust, those caught smoking at these newly prohibited places will receive verbal advisories during the first 3 months. Enforcement action will be taken from 1 Oct 2022.
Where do plastic recyclables go? They are sorted, shredded then melted to become resin pellets, which form the base of new plastic products which can be made into a variety of products like household items.
