There have been hailstones in SG, with the last reported sighting in Jan 2018, but how do they come about? Formed when raindrops freeze at high levels, hailstones usually melt before reaching us, except times when very strong downdrafts drive them down before they melt.

We’ve just released the 2020 waste and recycling statistics. They reveal that in 2020, Singapore's overall waste generated decreased for a 4th consecutive year, resulting in less waste being sent to Semakau Landfill.
