The new public waste collection contract for the Clementi-Bukit Merah sector has been awarded to SembWaste Pte. Ltd.
Residents can look forward to a new fleet of collection trucks including electric vehicles, high capacity rear-end loaders, and ergonomic trucks which provide better safety and worker comfort. #SGDengueUpdate As of 17 Dec 2020, there have been 34,844 reported dengue cases this year, with 228 cases reported last week. While NEA has closed about 98% of the dengue clusters notified since the beginning of 2020, there are still over 230 residential areas with high Aedes aegypti mosquito population currently.

A developing northeast monsoon surge in the region is bringing periods of showers to Singapore today. As the monsoon surge strengthens, widespread rain, heavy at times, is forecast later tonight. The rain is expected to be persistent and last over this weekend. This will bring cool and windy conditions, with daily minimum temperatures dipping to 21-22°C in some places. This is the 2nd monsoon surge to affect the island this month, after 2 days of continuous rain from a monsoon surge last week. #SGWeather
