You can now report cases where safe distancing is not being practised, via the dedicated function on the #OneServiceApp, which is available on App Store (http://go.gov.sg/oneserviceapp-appstore) and Google Play (http://go.gov.sg/oneserviceapp-playstore).

The information provided will help the relevant agencies to know where the “hotspots” are, which require further enforcement and patrolling action.
All Designated Smoking Areas (DSAs) along the Orchard Road No Smoking Zone will be closed from 15 Apr 2020, in view of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020. Notices will be put up at the 54 DSAs. Owners of premises and smokers are reminded that smoking is not allowed within the Orchard Road No Smoking Zone.

Smoking corners beyond the Orchard Road No Smoking Zone, such as those in coffeeshops and hawker centres, will also be closed. NEA will continue with enforcement at smoking prohibited areas, including the Orchard Road No Smoking Zone. More information available at www.nea.gov.sg/circuit-breaker-measures

Looking for ways to create less waste in the kitchen? You can start with these handy tools!
#SafeDistancing applies everywhere – even when choosing fish and vegetables at the markets! If you have elderly neighbours or family members, help them with their marketing instead so that they can #StayHome and stay safe. #SGUnited
Need your essentials? In addition to wearing a mask to buy essentials at the supermarket, schedule your grocery run on a weekday and avoid the peak periods, or opt for delivery instead. Let’s take #SafeDistancing seriously, and work together to stop the spread of COVID-19. #SGUnited
With close to 5,800 dengue cases in 2020 as at mid-Apr, urgent stepped-up community action is needed. Unless immediate action is taken, the number of dengue cases is expected to exceed the 16,000 cases noted in 2019. Do the #MozzieWipeout as part of your daily routine, and spray aerosol insecticide to kill any adult female mosquitoes, if your family is experiencing more mosquito bites at home. Here’s a short video which shows where you should spray insecticides at home: www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2870377276333638

All of us have a part to play in preventing dengue! More information available at www.facebook.com/NEASingapore/posts/2589530181268313
From 22 Apr 2020, access to 4 popular markets will be restricted based on the last digit of patrons’ NRIC or FIN numbers, to ensure effective #SafeDistancing and safeguard public health. Patrons with NRIC/FIN ending with:
- an even last digit (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) can only visit on the even dates of the month
- an odd last digit (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) can only visit on the odd dates of the month

These 4 markets are Geylang Serai Market, Block 104/105 Yishun Ring Road (Chong Pang Market), Block 20/21 Marsiling Lane Market, and Block 505 Jurong West Street 52 Market. More information available at www.facebook.com/NEASingapore/posts/2589759427912055

Underripe bananas do not have as much sugar content as their ripe counterparts, but overripe bananas are full of antioxidants and can be digested digested more easily. Best part? The latter makes the best baked treats and are delicious in smoothies! Read more in the article here: https://bit.ly/3bpWRmL
Our hawkers are working hard to provide delicious food for all of us. So let’s show them our support by ordering takeaways or deliveries of our fave hawker dishes. Together we can overcome. #SGUnited

It’s May the 4th! Saving the earth is in your hands, so may the force be with you.

Like ice cream in this hot Singapore weather, the earth’s great ice caps are melting due to global warming! It’s time to ask ourselves if we have done enough for the earth. If not, start here: www.mewr.gov.sg/climateaction #ClimateActionSG
🦟 Can you imagine crunching mosquito data for a living? In this episode of “Have you met…”, Ms Janet Ong, Analyst at NEA’s Environmental Health Institute (EHI), shows how mosquito data is used to provide insight into dengue risk areas and give early warning of impending dengue outbreaks.
