What do you call today ... sling back Saturday? Idk โบ๏ธ but this time last weekend, I was getting ready to attend my Alma Mata The University of Guyana's ๐ฌ๐พ Foundation First Gala at the OAS.
It felt nice to be back in Washington DC in familiar territory... I do miss it at times, but I understand seasons, and my current season is for a different global assignment. It sure felt AWESOME though to be among sharp minds, and to be spurred on by colleagues. It was a nice "UG Reunion".
Unexpectedly, I was picked out and interviewed about my thoughts on the Gala's initiative for UG ... I've so many ideas having coordinated top tier Galas myself, so I congratulated my academic grandparent "UG" on turning 60, thanked the uppers for starting this initiative that those who cannot afford tuition may be assisted and offered to support in future.
Music, dinner, good company, catching up with pals from way back, introducing new ones, wonderful speeches - VC felt like a mirror and of course photo moments ... ๐ breathtaking pulchritude, heads did a double take, not sure who I was๐ all made for a wonderful Saturday Evening in DC on 10/21/2023.

Where did November go? It's Thanksgiving already ... wow ... just wanted to pause to GIVE THANKS for each of you and pray that you will have something to be thankful for this year!
I am thankful for grace and the blood of Jesus that gives me access to a new and better covenant. I am also thankful for my church's community charity - CDCHOHE, its a demonstration of how much more blessed it is to give, you never have to worry about receiving!
Be safe, be protected and be grateful, even if it's for the little things... it fills your Tank Full!

Where did November go? It's Thanksgiving already ... wow ... just wanted to pause to GIVE THANKS for each of you and pray that you will have something to be thankful for this year!
