Depression is a real thing and it affects Clergy too.

Very sad post of a Pastor who committed Suicide, suffering with depression.

Prayer is our weapon and therapy is the action of our faith in prayer.

Each year it's a challenging time fr Oct - Dec for my parents and our family serving in ministry. We've often served while hurting. I no longer subscribe to that method, sometimes I need a break fr church folk, to process and refocus so I am good for me too, then I can be good for others; otherwise my prayers are not as effective.

Answering the call to serve in Kingdom leadership is a very sacred act not for everyone as it has a heavy mantle, yet has extremely rewarding outcomes. Remembering our humanity, however, gets ignored too often.

I wish this Pastor had more sensitive folks around him. You know, therapy is still taboo in many church circles and cultures ... how sad. There's always hope in Jesus and coping skills to learn w/Therapy.

Heavenly Father, I come before You Oh Lord, my God, thanking You for waking me up this Monday morning to embrace the sunlight that shines from the heavens.
