The entirety of our faith, my fellow Christians, rests on a debt we could not pay. If the Year of Jubilee was good enough for God, it's good enough for America.
Friday sober thought #1:

Gangs feed on one another's depravity. Cult members do too, and don't let them tell you otherwise.

Friday sober thought #2:

I keep hearing about people who are pro-Russia in the US. This is appauling and I can't wrap my head around it at all. If you love Russia so much, pack up your bags, your home, and your family and head over there. I'm sure old Comrade Putin would be glad to put you and your family members who are of age to work in his devasted army (voluntold) seeing as he needs more men and women. Any takers? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ
I hear a great Lion roaring in the distance, he comes ever closer. He is unpredictable, he is not "safe" as some consider "safe" to be. He comes to tear down and raze that which has lifted itself up on high into the lofty heavens to appear as if it were a god. What is torn down will be chewed up and spewn out of His mouth. He will have no imitation. He will have no other god before Himself.
Blessed to serve an at risk community today. Be the hands, feet, and mouth of Jesus.
Conservative activists want to ban 400 books from a library โ€” but they aren't even on shelves

Banning books won't change people's hearts! I wish Conservatives would wake up!
Not the best pic but perfect timing. Today is a quiet reading, writing, and study day -the Sabbath (7th) day, the day of rest. Today is literally my day of rest after working 6 out of 7 days this week.
Itโ€™s true that our freedom allows us to do anything, but that doesnโ€™t mean that everything we do is good for us. Iโ€™m free to do as I choose, but I choose to never be enslaved to anything.

Enjoying a good book on a rainy Sunday.

You know GOP, the more I see crap like this, the less I think you all have want it takes. I'm not pleased with the Dems and this is wrong too. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜”
But give reverent honor in your hearts to the Anointed One and treat him as the holy Master of your lives. And if anyone asks about the hope living within you, always be ready to explain your faith with gentleness and respect. Maintain a clean conscience, so that those who slander you for living a pure life in Christ will have to lie about you and will be ashamed because of their slander. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if it is in Godโ€™s plan, than for doing evil.

Christianity is the most diverse religion ever! A look around the world proves this fact. Jesus said his sacrifice and eternal life here/now and in the world to come was available to all nations! (Matthew 16:15-16, Revelation 7:9)

If you are preaching something different about Christianity or believe something different other than what He said and instructed; take a break, repent, go back and read your Bible, and get your heart right for your own sake. The time is short.
...It seems that everyone believes his own opinion is right....How easily we get puffed up over our opinions! But love builds up the structure of our new life. If anyone thinks of himself as a know-it-all, he still has a lot to learn. But if a person passionately loves God, he will possess the knowledge of God.

Mini-blog, read at your own risk:
I use the attached article to make a point. I AM NOT advocating for suppression of the press, social media, or suppression of free speech as this article describes in Ukraine or Russia.

Ukraine and Russia exist in a state of war, therefore certain aspects of free press are suppressed in both countries. Russia has made a habit of suppression of free speech for many years, since 2006 to be exact and the article discusses this fact. Christians in both Russia and Ukraine understand this, they pivot and adjust accordingly. They don't wring their hands or cry "not fair, whwt about my rights!"

Contrary to Ukraine, in America, we have people (Christian/non-Christian alike) complaining about free speech violations on social media in part or parcle (mind you not entire print, news channels, or social media across the board being suppressed). They get angry when their content is blocked b/c they chose to be ugly, bully, or spread outright lies. When did we fall so in love with confusion, ugliness, and lies in this country? What they are experiencing is called consequences for our words and actions. These two situations (Ukraine/Russia and America) aren't the same nor are they remotely comparible.

The problem in America is we think we can do whatever and say whatever we want without consequences. Unabashed freedom has away of lulling you into that mindset, not to mention our fallen natures. We are spoiled and unfamiliar with tangible oppression. Although if we stay on this road, it won't be long in coming.

I will leave you with the Apostle Paul's words on the matter in 1 Corinthians. As always, do your own reading and study:

"Itโ€™s true that our freedom allows us to do anything, but that doesnโ€™t mean that everything we do is good for us. Iโ€™m free to do as I choose, but I choose to never be enslaved to anything."
1 Corinthians 6:12 TPT

"You canโ€™t drink from the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You canโ€™t feast at the table of the Lord and feast at the table of demons. Who would ever want to arouse the Lordโ€™s jealousy? Is that something you think youโ€™re strong enough to endure? You say, โ€œUnder grace there are no rules and weโ€™re free to do anything we please.โ€ Not exactly. Because not everything promotes growth in others. Your slogan, โ€œWeโ€™re allowed to do anything we choose,โ€ may be trueโ€”but not everything causes the spiritual advancement of others. So donโ€™t always seek what is best for you at the expense of another."
1 Corinthians 10:21-24

I never thought I'd agree with him.

"Police lost their lives as a result of that day," the president said. "Police lost their lives. One of the officers said it was worse than anything he had experienced in war in Iraq. So let me say this to my MAGA Republican friends in Congress โ€” don't tell me you support law enforcement if you won't condemn what happened on the 6th. Don't tell me. Can't do it. For God's sake, whose side are you on?"

Repubs, decide whose side you are on. You have 10 weeks and then 1 year to the next presidential election. Choose wisely.
