I think to understand and even combat an ideology (or even an enemy) you have to to read about it (them). You have to study it (them). You have to engage it (them). You have to see where the weaknesses are, where the strengths are, where it or they fall short, and where it or they actually hit the mark. This does not mean you convert to their way of thinking or take them as your own. Ideas only manipulate you when you don't know what you believe or who you are.
I will be embarking this understanding over the next year as well as comparing said ideology to the undeniable tenants of my faith and the Word. I think you can deduce which ideology I speak of and if you can't, ask me. Fear of said ideology plagues our country this very day. I I know that I will come into all truth (because I already know the Truth) and what's hidden will be revealed. I encourage you to not be afraid to engage something that either frightens you or you don't understand. The cost of not doing so can be deadly.

I know His Truth, and I cannot go back.
You can't integrate the culture into your Christianity. You will make bad compromises and then wonder why you are miserable and life isn't working out. I did this for 20 years thinking it would solve my heart issues and make me happy. It is in the Truth of His Word that you find His absolute Truth about you. Look to no other god.

Elizabeth's take: First, check out the reel she mentions first to get context. It's highlighted in the article below. Secondly, love and respect are mutual in a marriage and a must. Afterall, who wants to do anything for anyone who does not love or respect you? Not me. I would not expect men to either. However, women are not, I repeat not, as in zero, responsible for a man's sin, and/or his emotional or mental immaturity. Men are responsible for these things. They don't get a pass. They are not children we mother. Christianity, stop giving men a pass! Men, go sit with the King for you and heal. We need you.
