The Kingdom of Jesus Christ is not about publically humiliating people, exposing them to public reticule, or lying about them to get attention or "feel better" than them or about yourself. This is the way of our world these days (especially social media) and that is not and will never be the Spirit of Jesus Christ. The Kingdom of Jesus is about humility, truth with love, and grace. Yes we call out evil and yes we speak truth to power, with all of our research done and our ducks in a row- we do that privately with that person or persons with humility, love, and grace. If private discussion does not work or is not an option (I get that may not always be an option, that's not lost on me), and they continue to hurt others, then we take it to others who can deal with it responsibly. Sin and abuses are always brought into the Light, you don't have to put on a show about the person or situation. Let Light do His job.

I am over it. We had masked cowards (aka Patriot Front) last weekend flying upside down American flags in Boston among other things and intimidating people. This weekend we had a man who'd given his mind to Satan kill 7 people and wound 30 in Highland Park. Today or early this am rather in Georgia, some coward blew up a monument that was an oddity at best. This evil is pissing me off. And that is what it is, evil. This isn't about politics, we're past that. This is about evil vying for the soul of a nation. Wake up!! Pray, vote, act!! Not on my watch!! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Follow this through to the logical conclusion. Those who use intimidation and violence will come for you to.
"The image of God (Imago Dei)  is found in male and female, not one gender who thinks they have everything figured out." - Mike Erre, Voxology Podcast
Some people are sin hunters, or modern day pharisees. They are all truth with no love and grace. They love law more than people. They will kill people emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. They will kill themselves in the same ways too. They exude self-righteous arrogance and pride. Jesus called such people white-washed tombs - beautiful on the outside and full of rot and death on the inside (Matthew 23:27-28, in fact, go read the seven woes Jesus says to the pharisees of his day, starting in verse 13).

This Christian walk with Jesus is not a war with people, it is a walk of truth AND love AND grace.
Does forcing our will and/or our Christian values on others work the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ?

I have been thinking about this lately. The Church needs to seriously consider this question and others. Are we offering revelation with love, truth, and grace to those who do not agree with us or do we expect unquestioning compliance? Are we using wisdom and discernment when having tough conversations or are we just blurting out harsh truth? I have erred in these areas and the result has never been positive or life giving. Think on these things Church.

More on this to come.
A song for this day and time.
Eternal freedom is greater than political or national freedom. Think on this. We will all die one day no matter where we live, who we are, and no matter our politics. Are you eternally free?
These people that find dirt on other people and then post it publicly to humiliate them on social media or other websites, I have one thing to say to them. If they're without sin, then let them cast the 1st stone. My guess is they are not without sin so any attempt to publicly humiliate someone else is at best hypocritical and at worst, childish. Human nature hasn't changed since Jesus' encounter with the woman caught in adultery. I swear he wrote "peeping Tom" in the dirt.

A little blurb:

Do you know what one of our root problems is in America? We don't have constructive conversations about sex in safe places with safe, trusted people.

We let Hollywood tell us what sex is. Hollywood is an entertainment industry. They entertain, not educate. We let "entertainment" magazines tell us what sex is. They entertain, and occasionally educate. We let hurt people tell us what sex is. Hurt, unhealed people have been hurt by the very thing they are trying to tell the rest of how to apply. We let fictional books tell us what sex is. The key word here is "fictional." We don't have candid conversations in our homes or churches. We leave it to the govt to have that conversation in our schools. Why? Because we are afraid. What are we afraid of? I can't say other than being uncomfortable and perhaps having to confront our own sin.

Even the Church is afraid to have the real conversations about sex. The Church is good at telling people what they should not to do and reading from a prepared sermon, but heaven forbid we have the hard, honest conversations with real people. I see a few Christian speakers, organizations, and writers trying but mostly we are just scared. And we wonder why our kids are doing what they are doing and why this country is the number one exporter of porn and sex trafficking? It's time to have the hard, uncomfortable conversations. Now or never.
My monkey. My only monkey. Not your monkey.

He is my levity for Monkeypox for my office.

So Mikey the Monkey can stare at me all day with his spiked hair and hands folded. He is ernestly hoping and praying for no more Monkeypox.

I need the levity! ๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™ˆ
I took a walk to clear my head tonight. I was looking up at the stars and I was reminded of something that my frustration would not see. The same God who hung the beautiful, diamond-like stars that twinkle without a care each night is the same God who is not surprised by anything on this planet or in this nation. He who hung the stars, holds and cares for me and you.
