Love is truth. Love is kind. But is there such a thing as "tough love"? I believe so. If we look at 1 Corinthians 13:6, we see that love does not delight in unrighteousness or wickedness, and love celebrates honesty, truth, and righteousness. I was awake thinking about this at 4 am. Our nation needs to understand what real love is right now. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is a treatise on real love if you wish to see for yourself.

Republicans if you gain a majority and if you win the presidency, I have 6 words for your party: Bring your game or go home. You claim the Dems, who I am done with, can't do this leadership thing so bring your game. Republicans, we'll see if you can do this leadership thing. Can you be decisive, compassionate, lead, and serve? We'll find out. If you do not do this or cannot do this, you can anticipate stunning defeats in the next 10 years and no return to power for a generation or so.

Both parties will also have to contend with the rise of Andrew Yang and the Forward Party who I believe could gain significant traction in the coming years. From where I stand right now, they are quite attractive. It is what it is.

Since we (and some of politicians) seem to have forgotten:

Every person must submit to and support the authorities over him. For there can be no authority in the universe except by God’s appointment, which means that every authority that exists has been instituted by God.

So to resist authority is to resist the divine order of God, which results in severe consequences. For civil authorities don’t intimidate those who are doing good, but those who are doing evil. So do what is right and you’ll never need to fear those in authority. They will commend you for your good citizenship.

Those in authority are God’s servants for the good of society. But if you break the law, you have reason to be alarmed, for they are God’s agents of punishment to bring criminals to justice. Why do you think they carry weapons? You are compelled to obey them, not just to avoid punishment, but because you want to live with a clean conscience. This is also the reason you pay your taxes, for governmental authorities are God’s officials who oversee these things.

So it is your duty to pay all the taxes and fees that they require and to respect those who are worthy of respect, honoring them accordingly. Don’t owe anything to anyone, except your outstanding debt to continually love one another, for the one who learns to love has fulfilled every requirement of the law.

For the commandments, “Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet,” and every other commandment can be summed up in these words: “Love and value others the same way you love and value yourself.” Love makes it impossible to harm another, so love fulfills all that the law requires.

I have been reading about this misguided, sad, and lonely young man. There is a lack of healthy male role models for young men and a lack of good community for men in general. Violence is not a healthy male characteristic. Hatred of women is not a healthy male charactetistic. This goes far beyond politics and fanboydom. It goes to the deep places of men's hearts in this generation and what will win their hearts -violence and hate, or love and peace.
