#DidYouKnow The Benjamin Sheares Bridge was opened in 1981? 🌉

To meet the latest requirements, we will be replacing the current parapet system from July 2025 to July 2026. 🛠️

To minimise disruption to traffic:
1. Works will be carried out in six stages.
2. Traffic will remain passable throughout, with only single-lane closure
3. No lane closure on public holidays and during major events like #F1 and #NDP 🏎️🇸🇬

Look out for on-ground signage to guide you through the area. Check out the visuals for more information! ➡️

As part of a multi-agency operation with Singapore Police Force and National Environment Agency along Admiralty Road West last week, we checked more than 300 motorcycles and issued 33 summonses for various vehicle-related offences.

These include motorcycles with improper license plates and expired road tax.

#Reminder: Vehicle license plates must be prominently displayed on the front and back of your vehicle at all times.

👮 Offenders face up to $1,000 fines and/or 3-months’ imprisonment. Penalties are doubled for repeat offenders.

#ICYMI To improve path safety for vulnerable pedestrians such as seniors and children, we’ve converted footpaths that are adjacent to cycling paths to Pedestrian-Only Paths. 👣

#Reminder Enforcement against those riding bicycles and non-motorised personal mobility devices on Pedestrian-Only Paths adjacent to cycling paths has commenced on 1 July 2025. This enforcement does not apply to shared paths.

Our enforcement officers will take a reasonable approach and consider the ground situation.

Be gracious and keep to the correct paths to ensure safer journeys for all. 💖

👮 Thanks to a tip-off from the National Private Hire Vehicles Association (NPHVA), our enforcement officers caught 10 drivers and impounded their vehicles at Changi Airport for providing illegal ride-hailing services within Singapore, and to/from Malaysia, on 18 July. 🚗

#Reminder: Avoid using illegal ride-hailing services — they lack proper insurance, pose safety risks, and affect licensed drivers’ livelihoods.

⚠️ We’re ramping up enforcement against illegal point-to-point services without a valid Public Service Vehicle Licence (PSVL), including cross-border transport services. This may result in passengers’ journeys being disrupted. Use only licensed services for a safer and smoother ride.

🚨Offenders may face up to $3,000 fines and/or six months imprisonment. Their vehicles may also be forfeited.

Together with tripartite partners like the NPHVA, we remain committed to protecting the interests of both drivers and passengers.
