#KNPC launched an advanced digital system at its filling stations. This system allows the customers, nationals and expatriates, to pay the fuel value through a special application loaded on smart phones and includes three means, namely Civil ID, E-Petrol application and Electronic Voucher.

The company organized a celebration for this purpose attended by CEO Waleed Khaled Al-Bader, GM of Public Authority for Civil Information Musaed Al-Asousi, some DCEOs, Managers of IT, LM and Finance Departments which contributed to achieving this system as well as a group of KNPC senior and junior employees.

KNPC DCEO for Projects Abdullah Fahhad Al-Ajmi said that extending digital services is a main goal for the company going in line with its 2040 Long-Term Strategic Plan (LTSP). He stated that inaugurating this quality service is the outcome of an obvious cooperation between KNPC, KPC, PACI and the private sector.

Al-Ajmi declared that the new system will replace that of magnetic cards and gasoline cards which require extra efforts and cost for printing and distributing them to consumers. He added that this is the first step towards rendering more electronic services by the company in the future.

For his part, IT Dept. Manager Abdul Aziz Al-Duaij indicated that the new system is quite successful for automatizing and upgrading the fuel stations, since it proved its workability in several countries of the world. He added that the infrastructure at the fuel stations was built and completely replaced so as to be valid for applying the new system effectively. Al-Duaij reiterated that this system makes paying the fuel value with civil ID easier than paying cash or other different cards and that a pilot stage was carried out successfully in several fuel stations.

Al-Duaij confirmed that this system makes payment with civil ID easier than paying cash or with other different cards. He also said that a pilot attempt was carried out for applying this service in several fuel stations and the results were promising.

to establish a personal account, activate civil ID, obtaining PIN, depositing balance and finally loading the application in question. As far the electronic voucher is concerned, it is a service which allows the user to benefit from an account held by somebody else who is registered therein.

Users may load this application from programs store, noting that it permits registering other beneficiaries in the user’s personal account to benefit from the remaining balance besides the other advantages, such as choosing currency sort, displaying the amount of money and filling date and time.

شملت الزيارة عقد اجتماع بإدارة مصفاة الأحمدي ومن ثم جولة ميدانية في غرف تحكم المصفاة الأربع FUP-RMP-OM-LPG ثم مركز إطفاء الأحمدي، حيث استمعت لشرح مفصل عن خطة طوارئ المصفاة متضمنة الحالات التي تستوجب التنسيق المشترك مع الإدارة العامة للإطفاء.
