Whether Californian State authorities win or the Federal Government does will be a major insight into the future of U.S. federalism and a pretty good indicator on internal stability and cohesion. That this is the second Constitutional Crisis the U.S. has faced in recent years, following the 2024 Texas Crisis, makes this episode all the more noteworthy.
