🇫🇷🏥 Suspended nurse decide to take her own life

👉🏻 Karine C, a 37 year old caregiver suspended since September 2021 for her refusal to take the covid vaccine, has recently decided to take her own life. The Telegram channel AMGR states that this mother of two children aged 7 and 3 was under great financial and psychological difficulty, which can easily be explained by the complete lack of income caused by her suspended status.

🔎 15.000 French health workers were suspended during the covid crisis, because of their refusal to take the covid vaccine. So far, the government has considered "completely out of the question" to lift these hindrances.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 US nuclear power projects in Europe

Westinghouse Electric Company is entering Europe energy market.

▪️Poland

Current Polish nuclear power programme accounts for for $31bn-$40bn. Six reactors will be build between 2026 and 2040. The first one, planned on the Baltic Sea coast 80 kilometres west of Gdansk is expected to start supplying electricity in 2033.

Besides Westinghouse France’s EDF was very interested to take part in this project, as well as KHNP from Korea. Poland still may reserve some room for Koreans to build a nuclear objects in addition to state's nuclear power programme.

Westinghouse is planning to supply it’s AP1000 pressurised water reactors. That’s not the most advanced option, since it was commissioned in 2005.

Poland is also interested in small modular reactors (SMRs), that are relatively cheap and flexible solution for regional power supply.

Now Poland’s electricity generation is depending mostly on coal and lignite. It’s electricity grid is one of the most carbon-intensive in Europe. Given that, nuclear power looks very promising, leaving apart the fact that US will be in full control of all nuclear generation in Poland.

▪️Bulgaria
Westinghouse signed a memorandum of understanding with the state-owned Bulgarian Energy Holding in May 2022. It’s main objective is to build a long-duration energy storage facility in Bulgaria.

▪️Slovenia
A memorandum of understanding has been signed in April 2022 with three Slovenian companies. It refers to co-operation on potential AP1000 nuclear power plant projects.

▪️Czech Republic
Memorandums of understanding were signed with ten companies in the Czech Republic in April 2022 as well. The documents cover cooperation on the potential deployment of an AP1000 plant for the Dukovany unit 5 project and potential AP1000 projects in Central Europe.

🔺We see clear transformation of the European nuclear energy market. Once dominated by France and Germany it gradually goes under the US control. According to estimation just Polish nuclear power programme alone will help to create more than 100 000 jobs in the US. It’s also worth mentioning that Westinghouse Electric Company will get not only contracts, but also control over European power grid and energy distribution mechanism. European countries racing to gain their “energy independence” simply channel their resources to the USA instead.

🇫🇷🚌 Bus passengers forced to listen to Koran verses in southern France

👉🏻 Passengers on an Aix-Marseille bus were forced to listen to verses from the Koran. When protests rose from the passengers, the driver shouted "It's my bus! I do what I want. If you're not happy, get off".

🗣 A passenger of Algerian origin, who had opposed the driver the most, expressed his shock to France Bleu: “It reminds me of Algeria, with the Islamic Salvation Front. The Islamists, they aired that on the buses. It is forbidden today in Algeria! And I hear it here! It's the first time. It's catastrophic! We must react."

🔎 Alerted, the transport authority RDT 13 has led an investigation. The driver has been identified, and isn't an agent of the metropolis but a young recruit of a subcontractor. According to the Aix-Marseille Metropolis, the incident is unprecedented. She recalls this principle: any religious demonstration in public transport is "very serious and unacceptable", and prohibited by internal regulations.

🇫🇷🏥 70 year old man dies abandoned in a hospital corridor

👉🏻 A 70-year-old man died Thursday on a stretcher in the hospital of Saint-Malo, western France. His lifeless body was discovered at midnight, 3 hours after his admission.

🔎 Three weeks ago, the employees had issued an alert for serious and imminent danger because of the lack of personnel. All services combined, the hospital has 70 vacant positions.

✍🏻 Note: French health care services are facing a huge crisis since the covid era: all personnel who refused the covid vaccine are still suspended, and the remaining staff is overstretched and exhausted, which has led to a massive amount of personnel quitting.

🚨 Several emergencies services are thus closed throughout the country, with other functioning with ever deteriorating conditions.

I remember one of the few Serbian villages we took. Eight hundred civilians surrounded, prisoners. Nothing happened. We didn't even burn the village. We found some guys, hidden in the woods. They were dying of hunger and fear. We fed them.

They had a book with them: "How to kill the Ustashi". Their propaganda is extraordinary. We stayed in this village. It was strange. These men, these women, these kids who lived with us. We gave them cigarettes; they gave us coffee, food...

And maybe I had killed the cousin, the son, the father of one of them. And they knew it. But by living with them in this village, sharing everything, the food and the bombardments of the Serbian guns...when we went to fight, they worried about us; when we came back wounded, they looked after us. This is the unreal side of war.
