๐ซ๐ท ๐ช๐บ Anonymous: It's because of the EU. We don't rely on Russian gas, we are almost totally nuclear in France. But, because of the EU we can't use our nuclear power plants. As it would be an "unfair advantage" and "contrary to European free competition in the trade union". So we are forced to pay our nuclear energy the same price as Germans pay for Russian gas to "keep a healthy balance in the EU".

According to Arab sources, the Arab cavalry broke into the Frankish square several times. Despite this, the Franks did not break. The well-trained Frankish soldiers accomplished what was not thought possible at that time: infantry withstanding a heavy cavalry charge. Paul Davis says the core of Charles' army was a professional infantry which was both highly disciplined and well-motivated, "having campaigned with him all over Europe".
Probably he and his own men did not realize the seriousness of the battle they had fought, as one historian put it: "few battles are remembered over 1,000 years after they are fought, but the Battle of Tours is an exception ... Charles Martel turned back a Muslim raid that had it been allowed to continue, might have conquered Gaul."

๐ซ๐ท๐ท๐บ FRANCE RECEIVED DRUMS OF ENRICHED URANIUM FROM RUSSIA
๐๐ป A delivery that makes disorder, a day after Emmanuel Macron's exhortation to show "no weakness, no spirit of compromise" towards the aggressor of Ukraine: France received 52 drums of enriched uranium from Russia on August 24.
๐ The shipment, sent from St. Petersburg, was unloaded in the morning from the cargo ship Mikhail Dudin, according to a Greenpeace press release of August 25. It was then loaded onto trucks bound for the Rhone Valley, where the nuclear sites of Pierrelatte and Romans-sur-Isรจre manufacture nuclear fuel for French power plants.
๐ฃ According to Yannick Rousselet, nuclear safety expert for Greenpeace France, ยซWhile Emmanuel Macron makes fine speeches about efforts to support Ukraine and boasts of a firm stance towards Russia, the French nuclear industry continues its business as usual in all discretion. The French nuclear industry should not be given a free pass to continue its trade with Russia and these outrageous imports must stop immediatelyยป

๐ซ๐ท๐ฏ A BLACK OPS UNIT TO HUNT FRENCH DISSIDENTS?
๐๐ป Rybar media reports on a case with potentially major consequences for French politics.
๐ The media was able to interview a (former?) member of the CPIS, the DGSE's clandestine unit in charge of illegal/immoral operations abroad.
โถ๏ธ The soldier reveals that for at least the last few months, the unit's missions have been on French soil and consist of surveillance and harassment of political opponents.
โถ๏ธ He explains, among other things, that the CPIS is responsible for burglary, assault or damage to property of specific individuals, making it look like routine, non-targeted crime.
โถ๏ธ In fact, these operations are particularly targeted. They do not seem to be aimed at well-known or media personalities, but rather at little-known but very active activists who could become key elements of the populist or revolt movements of the coming months.
โถ๏ธ The soldier cites targets in at least two movements: LFI (far left) and E&R (far right anti-Zionists).
โ๐ป These two movements are among the first to oppose Macron and mobilise many people, including former "Yellow Vests".
๐คจ The fear of French intelligence is probably that these movements and their activists will serve as an embryo for a future populist anti-Macron, anti-EU and anti-NATO movement, fuel by the inflation caused by COVID-19 policy, sanctions against Russia and green policies.
๐ Rybar's information could not be verified at the moment but France has a very long history of similar actions, so it seems credible.
๐ด๐ป What is surprising is that these black operations on French soil are conducted by the DGSE and its elite unit. Normally, such operations are conducted by the DGSI and the police.
๐ฐIt would be interesting for French journalists to look into the matter and investigate.

Slowly, the eyelids lifted. The eyes appeared, incredibly large. The white was very clear, very pure. The wide iris, a little eclipsed by the upper lid, was the blue of a summer night sky, strewn with golden flakes.
The eyes remained fixed, looking at the ceiling that they probably did not see. Then something clicked, the eyebrows furrowed, the eyes moved, looked, and saw. First they saw Simon, then Moรฏssov, Lebeau, the nurses, everyone.
An expression of stupor invaded the woman's face. She tried to speak, opened her mouth, but could not control the muscles of her tongue and throat. She emitted a sort of rattle. She made a huge effort to lift her head a little, and looked at everything. She didn't understand where she was, she was afraid, and no one could tell her anything to reassure her.
Mosesov smiled at her. Simon was trembling with excitement. Lebeau began to speak very softly. He recited two verses of Racine, the most harmonious words that no language had ever assembled: "Ariane, ma sลur, de quel amour blessรฉe...". It was the song of the verb, perfect and soothing. But the woman did not listen.
