With the issue of Notification No. 31/2015-2020 dated 08.09.2022 prohibiting exports of “Broken Rice” under HS Code 1006 40 00, exporters were facing challenges with Customs in clearing the consignments of other categories of rice due to presence of certain content of “Broken Rice”.
FIEO took up the matter with DGFT and as a result now Trade Notice No. 17/2022-23 dated 28.09.2022 has been issued clarifying the limit of “Broken Rice” in terms of “The Rice Grading and Marking Rules, 1939”. This may help in smooth clearance of other categories of Rice.

FIEO in association with Amazon Global Selling will launch the Boot Camp for the New Aspiring e-Commerce Exporters to be organised on bi-monthly basis, exclusively for the members of FIEO.
The first Boot Camp will be organised from 14-25 Nov 2022 wherein one-to-one hand holding will be provided to the shortlisted members of FIEO, starting from registering for the Amazon Global Selling platform to listing the products, tying up with logistic partners etc. until going live to start selling globally.
Please refer the eligibility criteria to participant in the Bootcamp.
Only the limited hand-picked member exporters who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be permitted to attend the Boot Camp and will be shared the detailed schedule and Zoom link to the Boot Camp privately on Nov 12, 2022.
