Responsibilities and Duties
β’ Create building designs and highly detailed drawings by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and REVIT applications
β’ Work closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors, and architectural technologies
β’ Adapt plans according to circumstances and resolve any problems that may arise during construction
β’ Prepare and present design proposals to clients
β’ Apply for planning permission and advice from governmental new build and legal departments
β’ Write and Present reports, proposals, applications, and contracts
β’ Choose the materials to be used and specify the requirements for the project
β’ Advise clients on the practicality of their project
β’ Produce detailed drawings from which costing are made
β’ Make site visits to check on progress
β’ Perform other duties as assigned
