Job Title: Assistant Regional Coordinator (Two)
Duty Station: Shashemene & Finfine
Contract Duration: One year (with possibility of extension)
Monthly Salary: 20,399 (+11% PF/Pension)

Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall Guidance from the head of the regional DRMC and direct supervision from the regional TSF Programme Coordinator, the Assistant Regional coordinator will perform the following duties:
Programme planning
* Work closely developing strong and effective working relationship with key partners including zonal and woreda health offices to support first and second generation approaches, aligned with the routine HEP service.
* Follow up adherence to the national protocol on the Management of Moderate Acute Malnutrition in second generation TSF woredas.
* Provide required, technical support and contribute towards the development of timely work plans of the woreda coordinators to support effective and efficient programme implementation.
* Incollaboration with the health sector and DRM offices at zonal and woreda level, actively participate in planning and implementation of quality screening, registration and compilation of information.
* Compile monthly screening data and prepare allocation plan timely and share with the regional coordinator.
* Participate in project planning missions, meeting and debriefing sessions to analyse problems and identify solutions.
* Review the work plans of woreda coordinators and support the implementation.
* Prepare annual and quarterly work plans with inputs from the woreda coordinators and share with the regional coordinator. Monitoring and reporting
* Undertake field missions to monitor TSFP implementation activities and provide guidance to woreda coordinators/ focal persons and food distribution agents.
* Address issues arising from monitoring visits with relevant offices and report to the regional coordination unit.
* Provide supportive supervision in the nutritional monitoring, promotion of key nutrition messages at food distribution centers, food storage, transport and handling.
* Provide full information of his area program implementation activities to regional coordination unit for the preparation of progress reports.
* Provide follow up, dispatch, delivery and distribution reports to regional coordination unit timely as per the WFP format provided.
* Conduct/support quarterly post distribution meetings with FDA’s at woreda level.
* Engage in organizing MAM management training for HEW’s, health and other concerned staff at zonal and woreda level.
* Train FDAs in food management, storage, handling and reporting.
* Represent TSFP at zonal level emergency and health and nutrition taskforce coordination meetings, to advocate for organized and timely TSFP implementation.
* Compile/verify monthly TSF performance reports from Second Generation Targeted Supplementary Feeding (SGTSF) and regular woredas.
* Monitor the activities of NGO partners and collect and share monthly NGO reports to regional coordination unit. Other duties
* Other duties as assigned by line manager. Qualification
* University degree in Nutrition, Public health (Health officer, Public Health Nutrition), Food security, Epidemiology, DRM, Food Science and Food Technology/Food & Biochemical Technology. Experience
* Field experience of three years with Nutrition, Health, Food Security, DRM and EW.
* Good communication skills and capacity to build quality working relationship.
* Good computer skills - (Word, Excel, Power Point).
* Good writing and speaking skills of Afan Oromo, English and Amharic.
* Capacity to plan and organize own work with minimum supervision.
* Respect deadlines, instructions and procedures.
