Job Description

Responsible for the organization’s financial, procurement and property management; implement strong financial reporting method; co-sign payment documents with the ED; summarize financial statements from time-to-time, as required; collect and evaluate quotes for purchases as required; prepare payroll on a monthly basis for review; make payments for applicable taxes to the relevant authorities

Job Requirement

Bachelors degree/MA in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Minimum of 5/3 years of relevant work experience in NGOs or donor-funded projects
Proficiency in Afaan Oromo, Amharic and English, both oral and written
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Effective written and oral communications skills to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and partner organizations.
Highly organized and able to develop and streamline systems for efficient conduct of day-to-day tasks.
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and database skills.
Location : Addis Ababa

Job Description

The Project Officer shall be responsible for the overall coordination and management of Buna Qela program activities, including planning, implementation support, continuous quality improvement, liaising with partners, government, reporting and monitoring. S/he will ensure full compliance with all donor and other government regulations and procedures. S/he will oversee orientation & performance management of all project staff.

Job Requirement

Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline: Economics, Agricultural Economics, agriculture, rural development, project management or related fields of study, and strong experience in integrated rural development.
Minimum of five years work experience in implementing donor-funded integrated rural development projects in an NGO environment; experience in Monitoring and Evaluation;
Excellent social, networking and facilitation skills, ability to engage with the private sector, civil society and governments
Excellent communication (written and oral), reporting and presentation skills;
Proficiency in Micro Soft applications and navigating the internet;
Fluency in Afaan Oromo, Amharic and English;
Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results;
Willingness to travel to all projects locations
Location : Addis Ababa
