ሰዎች የማያደክሙ እና በቀላሉ ጠቀም ያለ ገንዝብ የሚያስገኙ ስራዎችን ቢመኙ አይገርምም፣ ምክንያቱም በትንሽ ወጪ እና ድካም ሃብት ማካበት አለማዊ እውነታ ነው፡፡ በተቃራኒው በእልህ እስጨራሽ ስራ በሸካራ አጆቻቸው እየቧጠጡ የሃብትሰገነት ላይ የወጡ አሉ፡፡ ለአብነትም የአለማችን $75.6 ቢሊዮን ሃብት ባለቤት አቶ ዋረን ቡፌት የመጀመሪ ያስራው ጋዜጣ አዟሪ ነበር፡፡ እንዲሁም የአለማችን ቁጥር አንድ የቴሌቪዥን ሾው አዘጋጅ የሶስት ቢሊዮን ዶላር ሃብት ባለቤት ወ/ሮ ኦፕራውንፍሬይ የግሮሰሪ ቤት ካሸር እና ፀሃፊ ነበረች፡፡ ሁሉም መነሻቸው ትንሽ ነው፡፡ ቢሆንም መክሊታቸውን ፈልገው ያገኙ የስኬታማ ሰዎች ምሳሌ ሁነዋል፡፡
የእነዚህን ባለሃብቶች ታሪክ ለመጋራት ረዥም ራዕይን የሰነቀው የከሚሴው ወጣት ኢንጅነር አህመድ ሁሴን ከባህርዳር ዩኒቨርስቲ የመጀመሪያ ዲግሪውን በውሃ ምህንድስና አግኝቷል ፡፡ ከተመረቀ በኋላ በኦሮሞ ብሄረሰብ ዞን ለ4 ዓመት ያህል የመስኖ መሃንዲስ ሆኖ ያስተማረውን ማህበረሰብ አገልግሏል፡፡ ነገርግን ወር ጠብቆ ደመወዝ ማግኘትን ቀድሞውንም የእርሱ ፍላጎት አልነበረም፡፡ የመንግስት ስራውን ለመልቀቅ ተገደደ፡፡ እንዴት ወደ እርሻ ሙያ እንደገባ ሲናገር፣ "በመጀመሪያም የመንግስት ስራ የተቀጠርሁት ያስተማረኝን ማህበረሰብ ለማገልግል እና የወጪ መጋራት ክፍያየን ለመክፈል ነበር፣ መጀመሪያ እኔ በኢኮኖሚ ጠንክሬ በኋላ ህዝቤን ማገልገል እንደምችል ሲገባኝ ስራየን በመልቀቅ ወደ ግብርና ስራ ተቀላቀልሁ፡፡ ብዙጊዜ በሚዲያ ስመለከት ሞዴል አርሶአደር ተብለው የሚሸለሙት ትክክለኛ እና ለሌሎች ገበሬዎች አርዓያ ሆነው አላገኘኋቸውም፤ ስለዚህ እኔ የግብርና ፍቅር በውስጤ ስላለ ለሌሎች አርሶአደሮች አርዓያ ለመሆን በግብርናው ዘርፍ ያለኝን እውቀት ተጠቅሜ ለአገሬ ለውጥ ለማምጣት አርሶአደርነትን መርጫለሁ" ብሏል፡፡
በአመልድ የግሮውዝ 4 ዘፊውቸር፡ ቀልጣፋ የግብይት ስርዓት ለዘላቂ ኑሮ መሻሻል ፕሮጀክት ከሲውዲን አለምአቀፍ የልማት ተራድኦ ደርጅት ባገኘው 25.7 ሚሊዮን ብር በፋርም አፍሪካ፣ ሜርሲኮርፕስ እና አመልድ ትብብር በደዋ ጨፋ ወረዳ እየተተገበረ ይገኛል፡፡ ፕሮጀክቱ የወጣቱን ራዕይ በመገንዘብ እና በአካባቢው ያሉ ሌሎች አርሶአደሮች የበጋመስኖ ማልማት እንዲችሉ የማህበረሰብ ኩሬ በወጪ መጋራት (80 በመቶፕሮጅክቱ) ገንብቶላቸዋል፡፡ ኩሬውን እንዲጠቀሙ በሶላር የሚሰራ የ18 ሺ የሶላር ፓምፕ ከፕሮጀክቱ በነፃ አግኝተዋል፡፡
ኢንጅነር አርሶአደር አህመድ በ1.5 ሄክታር መሬቱ ላይ በጥምር ግብርና ሙዝ፣ ማንጎ፣ ጤፍ፣ ሽንብራ፣ ቡና እና የሽንኩርት ዘር እያለማ ነው፡፡ በመጀመሪያው የምርት ዘመን ከጤፍ ምርት 20 ሺ ብር እና ከሽምብራ ምርት 54 ሺ ብር ገቢ አግኝቷል፡፡ አሁን የሽንኩርት ዘር በኩሬው ዙሪያ እያለማ በመሆኑ የክረምት ወጪውን ከዚህ ገቢ ለመሸፈን አቅዷል፡፡
ኢንጅነር አህመድ ጥሩ የኢኮኖሚ አቅም ሲገነባ እንደገና በተመረቀበት ሙያ ማህበረሰቡን በማገልገልማህበረሰባዊ ግዴታውን ለመወጣት እቅድ እንደላው ተናግሯል፡፡

Mr. Ahmed Husssen, aged 35, lives in Dewachefaworeda, Oromo Nationality Administration zone. He is married and has 7 children. He was an irrigation engineer, but now a farmer. What do you think?
He used to be an employed by Government of his locality, Oromo Nationality Zone as irrigation Engineer. However, he had no any interest for he had had no enough money to lead his live though he believes on serving his community on his profession. He had chosen to leave his government office job and he planned to return office while he would have enough capital. His reason to be a farmer, “while I was attending farmers ceremonial programs, most of them were awarded as a model but they were not the real one, and I decided to be a real model farmer for the rest of and to grow Ethiopia in farming by using my professional knowledge”, he said.
ORDA’s Growth for the Future: Enhancing market system for improved sustainable livelihood project has been implementing in Dewachefaworeda with 25.7 million birr secured from Sweden International Development Agency implementing through consortium by farm Africa, Mercy corpsa and ORDA. The project has built a community pond with a solar pumper technology in cost sharing base (80 % of the cost by project) with farmers.
Engineer and farmer Ahmed has 1.5 hectare land, and now he is growing Banana, teff, cheek pea, coffee and mung bean. In his first year farming, he earned Birr 20,000 from Teff crop and Birr 54,000 from cheek pea crop sale.
He has planned to use the community pond to irrigate his vegetation at dry season and bring more wealth in his yard. We do not know where is his destination, but we can sure he will be a food secured. Have a nice journey in your farming!
